New Dog Registration
At Planet Bark, we require a New Dog Interview prior to any daycare or boarding stays to ensure your dog is comfortable in the playgroup. Requirements for the New Dog Interview are as follows:
- Dogs must be at least 4 months old
- Dogs must be spayed/neutered once they are 7 months old
- Dogs must have all 4 required vaccines – Rabies, Distemper, Bordetella (Kennel Cough) and Canine Influenza. (Please confirm all four vaccines!) We require vaccine records PRIOR TO the interview day.
- Dogs must have a recent negative fecal test result (updated annually)
- We must have the Dog License and Rabies Certificate for all dogs on the premises according to Connecticut Dept of Agriculture regulations.
- Be prepared to bring your dog for a full day of daycare!

Scheduling Your Free Doggie Interview
Please plan for approximately 15-20 minutes for the in-person interview, and plan to leave your dog for a free trial day of daycare. Interviews can be conducted Monday – Thursday at 8:00 am, 9:00 am, or 10:00 am.
We do NOT conduct interviews during naptime (12:00 pm – 2:00 pm) or on Fridays, Saturdays or Sundays.
