Monday through Friday

No reservation necessary for existing Planet Bark dogs who have successfully completed an interview. New clients and new dogs of an existing client need to register their dog for an interview prior to any boarding or daycare stay.

Overnight Boarding

Reservations are required for Overnight Boarding. We reserve the right to decline an Overnight Boarding stay or charge an additional fee if no reservation has been made by 7:00pm of the day prior to the first boarding day.

Weekend Day Boarding

Saturday and Sunday only

Reservations are required for Weekend Day Boarding. We reserve the right to decline a Weekend Day Boarding stay or charge an additional fee if no reservation has been made by 7:00pm of the day prior to the boarding day.

Dog is dropped off in the AM (8:00 am – 10:00 am) and picked up in the PM (5:00 pm – 7:00 pm) of that same day.

Policies

Holiday Closings/Hours

Planet Bark cares for boarding dogs 365 days a year; however, our office will be closed on select holidays. Therefore, no check-ins/check-outs will be available on the following days:

  • Thanksgiving
  • Christmas Day

On the following holidays, our office will be open for “weekend hours” (8:00 am – 10:00 am, 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm):

  • New Year’s Day
  • Memorial Day
  • July 4th
  • Labor Day
  • Day after Thanksgiving

Requirements

  • Successful behavioral interview with completed paperwork
  • Verification of required vaccinations
    • DHLPP (1 or 3 yr)
    • Rabies (1 or 3 yr)
    • Bordetella ~ Kennel Cough
    • Canine Influenza Vaccine
    • Recent negative fecal test result
  • Copy of the Rabies Certificate (State of CT requirement)
  • Town License (State of CT requirement)
  • Sixteen weeks of age or older
  • Spayed or neutered at 7 months of age
  • Dogs must be well socialized. Not over protective of toys, space or people. Neither aggressive or extremely nervous.
  • “Quick Release” Collar with ID tag or permanent identification
  • We recommend dogs using a veterinarian-approved topical flea control

We reserve the right to refuse any dog due to aggressive, nervous or anxious behavior.
